At the Airport <3

We're waiting for Boarding at Basel Airport. In a few hours we'll be in Barcelona *///* I'm very excited, because every person I'm asking tells me how beautiful the city is and now I've got a list with places "You totally have to see!!!" and "That's the BEST Tappas-Bar".(It will be difficult to visit 8 different "Best Tappas-Bar ever"s in 3 days ^^;; But we will try) Have you been in Barcelona? What would you recommend us to see? ^__^

  1. I've lived in Barcelona for three years (when I was at Uni, I'm from Mallorca :D) and I would recommend you all the area surrounding Plaza Cataluña (Metro Red Line - Number 1). You can go down the Ramblas and arrive to the sea, to the Maremagnum, where you can find an Aquarium and a Shopping Mall. That was one of my favourite spots. Also if you go to the area to the right (going down) of the Ramblas you will find a lot of small shops and cool things. Don't go to the left side at night because that is an area called El Raval and it has some "bad people" around there. I got my iPod stolen there.

    If you want to check the "Geeky zone", you have to go to the Arc de Triomf. You can get there with the Red Line. You've got Norma Comics, Kaburi and other few manga/anime/merchandising shops.

    Also, if you go to Plaza España/Montjuïc there is a fountain where from thursdays to sundays at 21:00 that has a lights and music show (free!). It is called La Font Màgica (The Magic Fountain, duh).

    You can also visit the Parc Güell, Casa Batló and all the Gaudí things and buildings.

    I recommend you to eat the tipical food from my country. Barcelona is amazing and it will always be one of my favourite cities in the world.

    I don't live there anymore however if you need anything else you can send me an MP to my twitter account @petitTherapist. I'll be glad to help! :D

  2. Hey! i'm the girl from Barcelona that commented in your dA journal! I couldn't answer because I haven't paid much attention to the deviant all these days ;_;

    I recommend Plaza Catalunya :D is a very nice place and in that place you will find "Las Ramblas" (and if you walk down the Ramblas you will arrive at "Maremagnum", that is also very nice ^^ and there is an aquarium).
    I also recommend Arc de Triomf, and in the same place you will find a wonderful and large park called "Ciutadella".
    Other interesting places to visit: Casa Batllo, La Pedrera, Plaza España (metro line 1), Sagrada Familia (metro line 2), Parc Güell...

    Anyways, I don't know if it will be useful, but I leave you a link with some interesting places to visit! http://www.conocerbarcelona.com/que-ver , although the page is in Spanish... sorry ;_;

    If you go to Plaza Cataluña or somewhere of these places I'd like to see you :D! although my English sucks.. but I don't care xDD

    Hope the flight goes well ^^
